Renewing your practising certificate

Practising certificate renewals open on the 1 April and applications must be submitted by 31 May.

After the 31 May, applications can only be accepted if there are exceptional circumstances. Exceptional circumstances are things that are genuinely unexpected and outside the practitioner’s control such as a serious illness, a medical emergency, a death in the family, or major, unforeseen technical problems. Forgetting, being busy, workload issues, or travelling usually won’t count.

Current members will receive an email with a direct renewal link. If you don’t receive the email or wish to rejoin, log in to your member dashboard using the Login/Register button located at the top‑right corner of the website to renew for the 2026–27 period. 

Processing a practising certificate renewal generally takes around ten (10) business days, however during the annual renewals period (start of April to end of May), this process can take longer. 

Your practising certificate type relates to your employer (i.e. private, in-house, government, volunteer) and the applicable fees for each practising certificate is listed below.
