Going on leave (long service/maternity)
You have the option to retain your practising certificate while you are on leave. Should you choose to do so, please ensure that you continue to meet CPD requirements during this period, the Society has a range of CPD webinars available to help you meet these requirements. Alternatively, upon your return from leave, you may apply for a CPD exemption or extension. For further information, please refer to the CPD Guidelines.
You may choose to surrender your practising certificate and reapply for it closer to your return—typically one month before resuming work. To surrender your certificate, please log into your member dashboard and navigate to the ‘Submit Forms to the Society’ section, where you will find the surrender form. You will be able to indicate the date on which you would like the surrender to take effect.
