Challenging The Decision of Superannuation Trustees

This session examined what fair and reasonable decision-making by a trustee truly looks like—and what steps could be taken if one disagreed. It explored the full lifecycle of a superannuation complaint, from internal review to AFCA, and ultimately to the Federal Court. Participants learned which types of evidence were most effective at each stage, how to focus efforts strategically, and what constituted a compelling submission. The session also addressed approaches to managing estate disputes.
