Logging in to the new website
A Guide for Law Society Members
Members will be aware that the Law Society recently launched its new website.
Because we have moved to a completely new system, all member logins and passwords have changed. All members will need to reset their login credentials in order to use the new site.
All members will need a new user name and password. Your old user name will no longer work.
|Please note that Internet Explorer is not supported. If you are using Internet Explorer, please install a different browser.|
How do I reset my password?
In the top right-hand corner of the site, you will see a 'Login/Register' button.
Click the 'Login/Register' button to expand the login options.
Click on 'Forgotten Password'. (Please note you will not be able to log in until you have successfully set your new password.)
You will be taken to a new page: 'Get a new password':
You will need to enter a new user name in the box provided. You can use your email address, your member ID or roll number, or your mobile phone number. (Please note this field must be unique, so for example if your firm uses generic email addresses, you will need to use your roll number or mobile number for your user name.)
Enter your new user name and click 'Get a new password'.
You will receive an email with a link to create a new password. (Please note that the system uses the email address registered with the Law Society. If you no longer have access to that email, please call the Society to arrange new credentials.)
Click the link in the email you received. You will be prompted to create a new password.
After you have successfully reset your password, you can log in to the website normally.
When you log in, you will be taken to the Member Dashboard.
On the dashboard, you will see a notification about renewing your membership. Click this link to renew your Practising Certificate.
