Barrister Wayne Sharwood will reflect on innovations in the civil justice system that were brought on by the covid emergency, and offer useful tips and tricks to help prevent you being tripped up by the rules of evidence.  

Wayne Sharwood 

After 15 years as a solicitor in NSW and the ACT, Wayne joined the bar in 2003. Since then, he has developed a busy civil law practice. He regularly acts in succession/Family Provision Act claims, personal injury matters, coronial inquests, and disputes involving commercial, equitable or administrative matters. Wayne tutored at the ANU for 21 years in Litigation & Dispute Management. He is currently ACT Editor of Family Provision in Australia and the principal author of Civil Procedure ACT, the main practice reference for ACT courts. Wayne is also a director of YouthCare Canberra Limited, a charity that raises funds for the Raw Potential Program, a program designed to support disadvantaged youth in Canberra and the surrounding region.
