ACT Contract for Sale

The Contract for Sale is currently under revision by the Contract sub-committee of the Property Law Committee. The new edition will obviate the need for Certificates of Compliance and Fitness to be passed from owner to owner if there is proof that the Certificate has been issued. The Land Titles Office supports this move and plans are in hand to gain the support of the finance industry. It is also planned to discontinue the practice of 'Requisitions on Title' and replace them by a series of Seller warranties.
