How to Join

People wishing to join the ACT Law Society can do so either as Solicitor members or Associate members.

Membership is open to anyone who has been admitted as a solicitor in Australia. Membership costs $121 (this is included in the price of practicing certificates for ACT practitioners).

Associate membership is open to anybody who would like to join the Society. Membership costs $121.

Joining the Law Society enables you to access a range of services including:

  • Access to 'members only' sections of the Law Society website
  • The opportunity to participate in Law Society Committees
  • Practice advice and support
  • Business, ethical and professional counselling, education and training
  • Discounted CPD
  • Discounted membership for the NSW Law Society
  • Information, social, sporting and other networking activities

ACT Law Week

Update: The Law Week Debate has been cancelled. The Launch will go ahead at 8.30am at University House, ANU. This will be a free event, and light refreshments will be provided. RSVP to nicole.karman@actlawsociety.asn.au
